Dr. Gordon Allport, a famous psychologist, discusses the importance on regaining self esteem. He realized that “jobs” often are a soul sucking exercise and an assault to our self esteeem. He wrote, “Every Day we experience grave threats to our self esteem: We feel inferior, guilty, insecure, unloved. No only big things, but little things put us in the wrong. We trip up in an examination, we make a social boner, we dress inappropriately for an occasion. Our ego sweats. We suffer discomfort, perhaps anxiety, and we hasten to repair the narcissistic wound”
Once you rebuild your self esteem, you will be more prepared to come up with ideas for self employment. Louise Hay, another famous author, makes her followers repeat and listen to positive affirmations to enhance their crushed self esteem after a few years in the “Corporate world”.
Repeat these truths about yourself:
I have a lot to offer people and am helpful for them.
As a positive thinking person, I attract other positive thinkers into my life.
It is my duty and privilege to be happy in this gift called Life.
I will find my income as a source of fun and passion
My income sources will be an extension of my personality
With 7.5 Billion People on Earth, I can find ample opportunities for business
My income sources will be a creative expression of myself
You can make these affirmations real by silently repeating them to yourself all day long, as a meditation. Shine a light onto your mind. Don’t allow your mind to travel to dark places, which it often does without your conscious consent. These positive affirmations are the sunshine on your mind.
You are now on a course for self discovery.
