Don’t blame others to change first. Either you will have to wait for them to change before you can grow out of your current immobilized state, or you will just have to choose to wait forever. Or you could simply choose to surrender to it.
Regardless, you must accept that you cannot usually change a person’s mind about anything. Unless they are new to something, they have already formed an opinion about something and have had that thought rewind itself endlessly for days or even years in their own minds. Remember that you can really only change the mind of one person… and that is yourself. Don’t look for others to change their thinking. You may have a limited power to change their “behavior” (if you are a prison guard or a parent), but their thinking will stay.
And since their “Personalities” are most often given to them at birth, it is so difficult to change their behavior. You may try of course, it never hurts to try, but don’t let the absence of their changing to have any effect on your own happiness. Take control of the situation. Either stay with them, or move away from them. Just don’t sit around hoping and praying for them to change because only then could you be happy. It just will not work.
